The Story ...

When you work as hard as Jessica did to be healthy—including diet, nutrition, 6-days-a-week Jazzercise exercise, and disciplined life-style choices—only to find out that something she was born with (Cavernous Malformation) will disrupt EVERYTHING ... it's tough not to think about how unfair life can be sometimes.

But, if you know Jessica, you know she is a fighter and all the hard work during the various rehabilitation therapies have paid off! And, now, we are looking at the next chapter in her recovery by doing something radical (at least for us ...).

The Excess 14 45' Catamaran we are currently looking at will be named "Jess-SEA-ca" to honor all the sweat and effort Jessica has invested to get to this stage. The boat will be registered in Bermuda. Neil is scheduled for 'Skipper' Sailing School in Miami in January, 2026. This is a 7-day immersive on-board/at-sea program that will give him RYA (Royal Yachting Association) certification.

We welcome you to stay with us during our preparation and during our sailing adventures by bookmarking this site. We will provide updates as we make progress.
